So you want to quit smoking. Great!. What if you had an app that would help you to do it? That would be awesome isn’t? The guys at Fewlaps have done just that. They came up with an app called “QuitNow” which gives you real time stats to help you cope with anxiety. You can download it on Appstore or Playstore.
Following are few features that make the app really standout. QuitNow provides:
– The time (days, hours, minutes) since the last cigarette of your life
– How many cigarettes you have avoided
– The money and time you have saved
QuitNow also provides you with W.H.O.-based (UN’s World Health Organization) indicators on your health improvement process, and an achievement list you will unlock one by one, as time passes, motivating you to achieve your goal.
QuitNow is also social: You can share your stats and achievements on the very App. You can create your profile and start chatting with other quitters. You can also get help, tips and tricks from others, make friends, and offer your own support, any time, and always in your own language (44 different options)
This is what a fellow quitter had to say about this app:
The app which changed or rather I should say is changing my life is ‘Quit Now’. It’s an app which helps you in quitting smoking. I used to be a smoker (Really feeling happy saying ‘used to’) the count was around 10–12 cigarettes per day. I’d been smoking from last 4–5 years. Finally one day I decided to quit it, I have this habit of searching for different apps on play store. Once I installed an app for measuring the sound and me and my friend ended up playing ‘who can play a pinch/whistle loudest’ it was fun. So coming back to this app so the moment I decided to quit I searched some apps on play store and finally thought of installing this. I liked it so much that I went ahead and bought a pro version of it just to support the developers of this app.
This app really motivates you to get going. Plus they have some chat rooms where you can talk to people who are also trying to quit smoking. I really like this feature because we usually tend to hide our guilt/dark side to our known friends here you can burst out your feelings to a stranger and most of the time he/she understands you.
I would 100% recommend this app to anyone who wants to quit smoking. Cheers!
Following are some screen grabs from the app. It is neat and very user friendly.
